Data Storage and Security 5.1 Where Your Data is Stored Local Storage: Your personal data, meal records, exercise logs, and photos are primarily stored locally on your device using Room Database Cloud Storage: Selected data is stored on Google Firebase servers for backup, synchronization, and cloud function processing Temporary Processing: Meal photos and gym images are temporarily sent to Google’s Generative AI service for analysis and are subject to Google’s data retention policies 5.2 Security Measures We implement industry-standard security measures including: End-to-end encryption for sensitive data Secure HTTPS connections for all network communications Access controls and authentication mechanisms Regular security updates and patches Secure cloud function architecture for sensitive operations However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Privacy Rights and Choices 6.1 Data Access and Portability You have the right to: Access your personal data through the Application Export your data in JSON format through the data export feature Request a copy of your information in a portable format 6.2 Data Deletion You can: Delete individual meals, exercises, or weight logs from the Application Clear all data using the “Clear All Data” feature in your profile Request complete account deletion by contacting us 6.3 Notification Preferences You can control meal reminder notifications through your device settings and the Application preferences. 6.4 Camera and Location Permissions You can revoke camera and location permissions at any time through your device settings. This will limit certain features of the Application (e.g., meal photo capture, gym location photos).
Children’s Privacy ApexFit is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information and terminate the child’s account. For users between 13 and 18, we recommend parental supervision.
International Data Transfers Your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, which may have different privacy laws. By using ApexFit, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence, including the United States.
Data Retention Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active Meal and Exercise Records: Retained until manually deleted by you or account deletion Photos: Retained locally until deleted; temporary copies sent to AI services are subject to Google’s retention policies Analytics Data: Retained for performance and improvement purposes, generally up to 12 months Deleted Data: May persist in backups for up to 90 days before permanent deletion
Third-Party Links and Services ApexFit may contain links to third-party websites and services, including: Google Services (Firebase, Generative AI, AdMob) Google Play Store We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal information.
